"Buckle Up"

Use an age appropriate car seat. Babies belong in a rear-facing seat until they are atleast 1 y/o and 20 lbs. Recent research shows it's safer for them to stay rear-facing until they reach the car-seat manufacturer's height or weight limit (usually when they're between 18-23 months):D

It's about time!

I just read this last night. After I finished Parents, I was reading my new Baby Talk and it had this article:

http://www.parenting.com/article/Baby/Care/When-is-Your-Baby-Ready-To...-1201729235965

The very last one is about when is your baby ready to ride forward facing and talks about ERF too.

Awesome!

I see your DD has almost the same stats as my DS! Yaaa I don't feel alone! lol ;) Everyone I know has little peanut kids lol! (and they don't ERF them :( ) My DS just hit 17 months on Monday. Hopefully, we can get him to 2 y/o rear facing. :)

How cool! I know a lot of people with peanuts too, DD is the size of most of the 2-3 y/o in our playgroup. Hoping to make it to 2 y/o RF too. If it comes down to it, I'm switching her from the Radian to a Scenera to get those last 2 lbs. For now, I've got her running around playing outside a lot since the weather has been warmer here. :)
