Am I crazy to switch from BV to MA?

Ok, this is probably stupid, but it drives me nuts trying to get the cover off of the headwings of the BV!! I've been paranoid I'm going to break the EPS foam! And sure enough, the other day I went to try on a new cover and found a huge crack in it (yes, they're sending me a new one)!! It's such a pain to switch covers that I'm REALLY tempted to buy a new MA during the sale and sell my BV! There a couple of other quirks that bug me too, and I love the larger cover choices of the MA! :p But my only fear is I've heard the MA doesn't have as much shoulder room than the BV when they are bigger. I tried my just about 4 yr-old in a MA today and he did seem a bit squished at the 2nd from top slot. Maybe I should try him in my BV to to compare!

Anyway, can't seem to make up my mind - maybe somebody has some words of wisdom or sanity! thx!

I can understand your reasoning - but are you really changing covers that often? Not to say you shouldn't switch if the seat is bothering you, but if you aren't changing them that often, I'd be inclined to go with "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

No, not that often - but that's one reason why I don't! ;)

But I also find that the straps kind of fold where they come out of the fabric and every time I put DS in I have to flatten them out to get them on properly - wonder if anybody else has that issue?

Yeah, that's probably the advice I need! If only they made more covers for the BV, maybe then I wouldn't covet the MA as much! (I actually had a MA, but switched to the BV and gave my sis the MA - there's no way she switch with me cause I got the Mossy Oak cover for her!).

I recently moved my son from the Boulevard to the Marathon. I liked the Boulevard and plan to put it in my dad's van, but I find it is easier getting him in and out in the Marathon, he can see his sister in the Marathon which makes him much happier in the car, and the covers are fun. I also moved him to a position that is more in the center of the vehicle though (I have offset center LATCH) so I'm not concerned with the loss of the TSIP.

I'm selling one of our BV's and getting a MA for my car (Dad's car will still have a BV because he doesn't have Side curtain airbags and he is outboard in Dad's car). My car has side curtain airbags and is rated really high in safety so it wasn't as much of an issue.

I'm mostly doing it because of the head slumping (it's driving me nuts because Ryan snores and it is louder when he has his head slumped forward) but a little part of me is doing it because I want the cowmooflauge cover:whistle::rolleyes:.

Do you have him in the center or side? and does your car have side curtain airbags? I think those issues would factor into my overall decision.

Yeah, I'm drooling over the MA covers!

No side airbags (2001 Ody) - right now he's behind the driver's seat, but I was thinking if I got the MA I could put him in the other seat that I have moved to the middle. And then it would be easier to get to my other DS in/out of the 3rd row right now.

Oh, the decisions to make!!
