I have no idea if I am supposed to put this here... but I wanted to let you guys know that you are doing your jobs and you are doing it well!
I just turned my 15 month old girl (22lbs) RF again after being FF for 3 months now.
All the info, articles, videos you have convinced me bigtime. I have to admit, I did fight it for a long time... but in the end, how can you argue when the safety of your child is at risk?
you have all been such a great help with finding car seats for my other kids.
Right before I found this website I realized that all 4 of my girls were not in good carseats. My 1 year old and 3 1/2 y.o were both FF in Cosco Touriva's that had the indentation in the sides of the carseat (that studies have shown causes skull fractures in side impact crashes). Then my 9 and 6 1/2 y.o.'s were not safe because my 9 year old was in a backless booster in the 3rd row of our SUV that has VERY low seat backs (like at her shoulders) and my small 6 year old (37lbs) is in a high back booster (the turbo).
Although I am not putting my 6 year old back in a 5 point -- although I know you all recommend it -- I did purchase her a better booster (IMO).. I got her the Recaro vivo light... it looks so much more sturdy and it looks like it will fit her tiny frame better. If she was any younger I would put her in a 5 point again.. but I do believe that she is mature enough for the booster... Maybe I am making a big mistake.
Either way... you have helped tremendously already... my baby is RF.. and my other kids are getting new carseats.. except for the 9 year old, she is getting the turbo booster.
Thanks so much.
