Insurance question?

Not sure if this is the right forum...move it if necessary. I was in an accident back in July. I had asked my insurance about replacing the car seat but I got the run around. anyways the accident wasn't my fault so I've been reading that the other guy's insurance should pay. Is there a time limit on requesting for replacement of the lost car seat? Thanks for any help.

It is probably the same as any statute of limitations for property damage. I would feel confident that against a private agency (like the insurance company) that it would at least not be less than a year, assuming you didn't sign anything stating it was a full and final settlement.

I would assume that as long as the claim hasn't been closed, you shouldn't have a problem. Either way, it's worth a call to find out.
