Other uses for Latch strap

I just found a "brand new in box" Cosco Latch strap (DOM FEB 2002). Who knows where I got it.

So I know I can't use it for a seat. I don't even have any Cosco seats and it's out of date. (Too bad - it's BRAND NEW  )

What else can I use it for? Any clever ideas?

If I had one (and I had a vehicle with latch) I would use it to tie down the dog's crate when we travel with her.

Couldn't you use it to strap you child in the car if you don't have a carseat......LOL Just kidding :p.

I think it would make a great tie down. Or if you have 2 dogs you could lenghten the strap and hook a dog on each end hold the middle and go for a walk...LOL

I was just thinking yesterday of moving some of our growing collection of LATCH straps (we don't have LATCH in any of our vehicles) into the pile of load binders and ropes that we use to secure cargo on our small trailer. I'm not sure if they're long enough to be really useful, though, and also not sure what load rating we should assume they have. I just happened to be looking at the bottom of a Snugride base that was lying in the corner of DD's bedroom, and thinking that I should salvage that useful-looking LATCH strap before getting rid of the base....

ETA: We're a family of junk collectors, in case you haven't guessed -- hard to get rid of anything that looks useful :)

Oooh, I wonder... If the clips fit on the back of my headrests of my van, I might use it as a place to hang my stroller...

I would use it to buckle my kitties carrier into the backseat... The carrier has straps for the seatbelt to go through, but the shoulder belt messes it up. a simple latch strap would work great....
