Should I wait for the Frontier or order a Regent now?

My oldest DD, 5.5, is just a smidge away from outgrowing her MA. I had planned on getting a Regent at the end of the month, but now I wonder if I should wait for the Frontier. She is quite long legged, so if the Frontier has a short seat, like the Monarch or Parkway, then I will choose the Regent.

Ugh! I had planned to buy a Regent for years, now I don't know if I should wait. Frustrating!

I'm in the same boat!

The only difference is my DD is no where near close to outgrowing her DC/Blvd (good thing too, she's not quite 3). I just wanted to pass her seats down to the new baby and get some Regents for her to last a long time.

But now the Frontier has me interested! I'm thinking of going ahead and getting the Regents anyway, but I'm so confused!

LOL, I'd buy what you need when you need it. Don't wait on future products. I was all looking for the miracle Recaro last Jan-Feb. When it was pushed back to May, I thought, "No biggie." Then it was Sept- Oct.
DD was on the verge of outgrowing her MC and I wasn't comfortable with her around the limits. So nuts with waiting any longer! :p

Oh at the same time around May-Jul was the Regent installation PITA Hullabaloo. I"m so relieved I found a May 07 Madison to purchase in late June. After the panic was over, everything was awesome with the seat.

Then when the Como-Signo did come out -- they wouldn't have worked for my dd anyway. :shrug-shoulders: So Regent is completely great for us, especially for leggy dd with its seat depth.

If you don't want a Regent for the size, then go for the Nautilus until the new Britax seat appears. You can probably resell it for a reasonable price. But I wouldn't put off changing a seat that's getting small or uncomfortable for something that you have nothing but rumour & press releases to rely on.

We are in the same boat as well. My 5 1/2 year old is an inch or two from outgrowing his Marathon and I was planning on moving up to the Regent, but now I'm hoping we can wait to see what the Frontier is like. I'm thinking as long as he doesn't have a major growth spurt we will have a few months to wait and see. Otherwise I will get the Regent and then if the Frontier is too good to pass up, I will get one of those too.

I love the Regent. I know it'll last me at least another year (I gave birth to a genetically morphed child who is almost as tall as her mom at the ripe age of 5.5!) and she looks comfy in it. I don't think she'd sit comfortably in a seat that isn't as big as the Regent. It swallows my back seat but I know she's happy and comfy back there.

I wouldn't wait, you never know when they'll actually come out with the seat. The fabric options are probably going to be limited to *gasp* onyx and then you'll be waiting an even longer time for pretty Britax prints.

What Morganthe wrote. If you have "an inch or two" to go, and you aren't sure what you want, you probably have time to wait and see. If your child is too big for her or his currrent seat, buy the Regent or whatever else works for you.

I think I will probably go with the Regent. We have a Parkway already, so the combo should be fine for us.

Thanks everyone!
