Carseat techs?

How do you get certified as a car seat tech? I'm in TN and there is only 1 in Knoxville TN. I thought about doing the training but I need more info. Thanks!

Just to let you know that just by looking on Safe Kids website doesn't mean there aren't more certified techs. We have the option to make our self public in our SK profile. I am not public on SK profile but as you see I am an instructor. I just choice to make my profile private. I had on a couple occasions expecting fathers come knocking on my home door. I was not comfortable with this and complete strangers having information.

You can make certain parts of the profile private just so you know.

I am public on SK. However, I do not have my address listed. It only says the city I am in and my cell number. We are inthe phonebook if you looked up our name, but it does not show an address and actuall list a differnt city.

I've looked everywhere and the only 1 I can find is at the police dept. I'm sure there are more because they used to run safty checkpoints for carseats but I can't find them. How would I go about finding someone not listed?

You don't. If they're not listed they're either employeed by the city/fire/police/ems, or they're volunteers who don't want their info online.

I'm public, but I took off my home address and just put in that I was a volunteer, and my city.
