Latch connector plastic broke

Last week when I was switching the latch connectors ffing to rfing so baby could use it until I got hers, something broke off. I couldn't figure out where it came from (so I figured it was from a toy or something) until I got the new marathon today and switched the latch connectors once again on the first marathon. It is just the plastic that surrounds the metal. So it should be fine, right? Here are pics.

The one with broken plastic:

The new one:

You can see that the plastic that goes around the loop on the metal is gone. It is like that on both sides.

What do you think?? Thanks!

I think you could unbolt the side bar if needed.

don't you have to unbolt that LATCH bar whenever you want to switch between RF/FF? (to keep the LATH clip orientation at the seat bight correct). or is there an easier way?

either way, i would think that britax would just send you another one.

WIth our signo latch bar, there is no unbolting.

you just criss cross them in the back, passing them through the other. It keeps the orientation right.

I would be askeered to unscrew a latch bar!

You thread the straps through each other to switch the latch connectors. The latch bar is one big bar and you can switch them without unbolting the bar. Unbolting the bar would make me really uneasy since that is what is holding the seat in the car. I will call Britax tomorrow and see what they say.

Thanks

Know you don't. I originally though you had to also. The bar runs all the way through the beltpath under the cover. You feed on connector through the other to swap them. There is a video on Britaxusa.com under Safety Center click videos and then select the video from the dropdown menu.

Thanks:love:

I'll call tomorrow and see what they say. I'll be kinda mad if they want to replace the seat seeing as I just bought another one. I won't get full use out of another new one. Maybe they'll replace it with a frontier:rolleyes: yeah right!!
