● 5 passenger (2/3)

● Dedicated outboard LATCH with "borrowing" allowed for centre installations. Carseat manual must also approve "borrowed" centre LATCH. (Centre LATCH installs can cause problems for outboard seatbelt use.) Top tether available for centre rear. Top tethers are positioned on the seat back. The outboard tethers are in the middle of the seat back, the centre position is almost at the cargo floor.

● Lap/shoulder belts in all positions with locking retractors. Female ends are fixed, low, and at the bight. Male ends slide freely. Centre rear shoulder belt comes from the seat back.

● Adjustable headrests for all but the rear centre position.

● "Smart" passenger airbag is supposed to deactivate when it detects a child restraint in the front passenger position. There is no top tether for that position.

● Rear seat back has a 60/40 split, with the 40 being on the passenger side. The bottom of the seat does not have a split.

Re: 2006 Ford Focus Wagon ZXW SE - Sunshine Kids Radian

Sunshine Kids Radian installs great FF using seatbelt in centre rear position. No tricks needed, just a straight forward install.

Re: 2006 Ford Focus Wagon ZXW SE - Britax Marathon

Britax Marathon installs great both FF and RF in centre position.

When RF, if using a less than 45° degree recline, the front seats do not need to be moved forward at all. I didn't find a good spot to tether RF, but I didn't investigate very thoroughly. LATCH and seatbelt both work well (but LATCH does interfere with outboard seatbelts.)

FF seatbelt install is great. I did not try LATCH.

Re: 2006 Ford Focus Wagon ZXW SE - Evenflo Titan (2005)

The Evenflo Titan (DOM 2005) fit well both RF and FF in the centre with seatbelt.

Pool noodles were needed in RF mode to achieve the desired recline. This seat's short shell left lots of room for the front passengers, even with a deep (around 45°) recline. The front seats could remain fully back.

FF install was quick and easy.
