Here is the booster with the built in seatbelt. It can be used with or without the shield.

My sisters boyfriend had one of these for his four year old daughter until a few weeks ago! I got them a new seat. The little girl is four and barely 40 pounds, but they will not put her in a harness. I insisted on at leat a HBB.

I had the one on the right for a little girl we used to care for all the time. That was in 1998. I thought I was doing good by using it. She was 5 at the time. We used it with the shield on it. I even got one for her grandparents to use when they had her. I thought I was doing a good thing. ERGG so little info and so glad times are changing. Before that she used to ride standing up in the car.

those things are scary! I got one compacted at a local thrift store. They're great about that kind of stuff though. The owner actually asked me last time I came in if I would check and make sure the seats they had weren't expired... She's trying!

My sister was a Nanny for a family who used one of those for their 4 year old, and I went somewhere with them and they made me sit in it and I was sooo mad! I was like 8 and I thought that was so babyish!

I confiscated 2 of these (& replaced with more appropriate seats) from our local Early Start program -- like Head Start but for infants/toddlers :( Tried to arrange an educational meeting with their drivers, too, but they couldn't get their heads out of their youknowwhats.... *SIGH*
