Hi everybody

I'm kinda new here. I've been researching and learning all about car seat safety for like two months now. I have finally made a decision about our next car seat (i think ). We had a coupon for BRU that expired on Sunday so I sent dh to pick up the seat becuase I knew if I went I would talk myself out of buying it. Anyways we got an Evenflo Triumph Advanced. My ds is 15 months 30" and 20 lbs. so he still has some growing room in the SS1. The new seat is still in the box in dh's truck. I'm so hesitant to take it out and put it in my car. ds still has growing room in the bucket and i love the convience of it because he still falls asleep all the time in the car. Most of the time he will stay asleep even after i bring him in the house. The other hesitation that I have is that I was hoping to wait for the True Fit to come out but I'm not sure ds will stay in the SS1 that long. What are your thoughts on my situation? Should I just use the new seat? Or return it and wait for the True Fit, then make a new decision? Or keep the seat but use the SS1 until he out grows it? Sorry it's long, but thanks for all your support and help! :)

What is BRU's return policy? I believe it's 90 days with the receipt but I could be wrong. If you're having doubts and he still fits in the SS1 then I'd suggest keeping the EFTA in the box with the receipt taped to it and see what happens in the next few weeks/months.

I would return the EFTA.
How much shell does DS have above his head? What slots is he on?
I am not sure of my 16 month olds length but I know it is at the 95 %tile and he has loads of room in his SS1. At 20lbs he has a loong time to go weight-wise and as long as he has a while height-wise I don't see the point in keeping the EFTA if you want to see what the Tru-Fit turns out to be.
If I didn't know first hand how long this *babies* fit in the SS1 I might feel differently but now that my son still fits in his I see the benefit in using it until it is outgrown.

i would return and see what happens then, you may get more use out of the bucket seat hes in now, and thats just time off the useful life of the efta you have now. even if you get another efta when you do get it, it will have a "fresh" dom. why lose life on the seat while its sitting in the garage.
