Ok- how's the padding on the Nautilus, honestly?

I really want to reharness my 6 yo, currently riding in a TB. I was holding out for a non WM cover of the Nautilus, but who knows when they will show up at other stores. So what do you think of your Nautilus? How's the padding? Should I just go for the WM one, or wait a few more weeks and hope it shows up elsewhere? I did email Graco and they said they WILL sell the diff pattern covers separately as they are released to stores, but they are $37 plus shipping. Well, that's how much the Bravo is, not sure if the others might be more. What do you think? I'm bugging myself with the indecision.

My 7.5yo went from a Regent into the Nautilus and she did say that it's not as comfortable as the Regent when I asked her specifically, but hasn't complained at all day to day. I don't think that it's an "underpadded" seat by any means,

No complaints from Ryan.

But he moved into it from a SR/C that had been through 4-5 kidlings in it's life (I think the poor thing wept with joy when I boxed it up and stuck it in the storage room) and a Futura that was missing the tush padding.

It's comparable to the WM Turbos if that makes sense. No "Gracopedic" foam, but still cushy. I tihnk if she's used to a Turbo, she'll be fine.

The TB we have is horrible. It's a replacement cover I ordered from Graco because her pretty one was too stained to get clean. Seriously, it has no padding, or even cush, so anything would be an improvement really. I don't know how she sits in that thing without complaining. I sure wouldn't want to. I feel especially bad because ds has a MA, and my other dd has a Triumph, so very padded covers. I don't want to deal with the bulk or install issues of the Regent, so I'm feeling like the Nautilus is my only option. She's a skinny little thing, which is why I'm feeling like I need to reharness her. She does know how to sit responsibly in a booster.

Trust me - if it wasn't comfy, my autie would pitch a fit.

He HATED the Futura, tolerated the SR/C. LOVES his new seat.

I thought the padding on the GN was fine when I felt it the other day. Like someone else said, not like a mattress or anything but not nearly as bad as I had been expecting from some of the complaints about it. It's cushier than a TB, even the nicest ones.

Yeah, I agree. My daughter has a TurboBooster with GracoPedic foam, it's as soft as that is. It's a different soft, but still soft. My 7 year old has sensory issues, she will whine and complain if something is uncomfortable in ANY way, and she wants this to be her seat until she outgrows it (even though it's not pink!).

I think that says a lot.

I agree with Debbie. I was very pleased with the GN!
