Hey y'all!

Some of you expressed interested in the new RECARO child seats, so I thought I'd post some VERY useful info

I came upon the DEALER CODE for www.recarodealer.com
Dealer code is "SHOW"

I ordered a Start booster seat last week for my 4 yo old daughter. I just got it yesterday, no questions asked. Sshhhh

VERY high quality seat by the way. Love it!

You have to actually check out (or start the process) to see what the charges for the seats are. The discount is quite a nice one!

Start VS Style

I"m trying to decide between the start and the style. I actually need this as the carpool booster in other people's cars.

We have the wizard for our car and my Mother's car but I don't drive and so often ride with others. We are outgrowing the last roundabout and I need a seat that narrow enough to go in with two other roundabouts in a CRV. (right now we can get three roundabouts in but it's a tight fit and only works because of the hump in the moddle.

I like the protability of the Style. How do they compare in width when installed. I've been told the style is a narrow seat but the dimentions don't seem to support that.

i've been thinking about the Britax but the one I really like starts at 40lbs and we are only 32lbs and 39" at 3.5 years.

Thank you!

Cheryl, at 3.5 years old a harness seat is MUCH safer.... Some now go up to 65-80 pounds! :)

Not only are they safer (think race-car drivers), but I've found they help keep kids from making too much trouble in the back, LOL :p

The problem is that the bigger harness seats won't fit in the cars with two other seats so I need something for carpooling. I love that the Wizard goes up to 65lbs and we have that one in our car and my mom's but we are just about at the point where the roundabout won't fit and we need somethng for a taller person for carpooling only. I don't drive so not carpooling is often not an option. The busses around here are terrible, too. We do take the busses quite often but they don't go a lot of places. We also bike all over the place but, again, some places that's just not a safe option and we are going to be outgrowing our bike seat soon so will have to use the trailer or trailabike and that is going to limit biking, too, since I don't trust drivers to see the bike, much less the trailer portion.

If there is a skinny but designed for taller kids 5pnt seat, I'm all for that! (the other issue is that there will be times other parents are putting it in and we know how good they are at installing carseats!)

I wonder if something like the Ride Safer Travel vest might be an option for you?

The radian hasn't been out long enough to have any worthy reviews. Same with Recaros.
