Anyone Remember These? Part 2

A couple more Bobby Macs from 1980-1982. Smaller side wings and a higher back for head support. They also had 5 reclining position like the earlier ones I posted.

Here's one for you (it's my DH ~1981) Wait? Is it the same?

Do you have the OHS version?

Did they come with the sheild or was that an upgrade/extra?

Did the shield hook into the little holes in the frame? Like an old fashion high chair tray?

oh you can see the arm to the right of the photo - look hard, the shield is up

I would love to get hold of that set! So cool! Shipping would bite though.

omg.. that's my old seat! The brown one! I can still remember the reddish hue it had by the time I was 3 and being in it when we were in a crash. OY... thats why I was so excited about top tethers... you don't forget how it feels on your neck when you and the top of the seat go forward.

I remember hating that seat... the skin coming off of that in the summer... OUCH!!

I think my sister had that century one... she had a blue seat...

Anyway... after the crash, she and I never rode in carseats again that I recall.

Instead, we fought over who got to lie down in that area above the back seat right against the windshield... Mom didn't even make us buckle up.

I don't think I wore a seatbelt again until I was seven or 8... when my grandparents and mother got cars with shoulderbelts in the back... they fit better.

But when I rode in front, I tossed the belt behind me.

And I didn't wear it all the time, especially in back.

But then my grandparents started making me wear it in their cars because of the new safety research, and then when I took Driver's ed, they got through to me bigtime... stopped the bad habits and needless to say, I've become quite a fanatic!
