ABC news this morning - booster seats

The message was good - keeping big kids safe with boosters rather than going straight to seat belt - but "big kids" in this report was kids over 4. I'd rather see a parent put their 4 year old in a booster than a seatbelt alone, but there was no mention of HWH. Instead, it said, "This is how children 4-8 should be secured in a car - in a booster seat."

Also, the footage was bad, showing kids being buckled in with coats. One shot even showed a kid put the seatbelt behind his back! Although now watching it again, I think they were showing that clip as what not to do - I hope, anyway.

And is anyone familiar with Maine law? The map they showed did not list Maine as a state that requires boosters without exception to age 8, but our law is boosters to 8. What's the "without exception" part?

Here's the link to the video. It's in the watch video section under "Why Parents Drive Kids Dangerously."
