radian plastic

Is it like the Marathon, or is it a harder type plastic like children's toys?

It seems to crack easily, so i am trying to work out what to expect.

What's the plastic like? I have been wondering about this as well! There have been a couple of threads here recently I know that had cracked radians. I cannot imagine the regent's plastic cracking, but maybe it can?? I haven't seen a radian yet, so I haven't been able to compare.

Depends - different types on different parts of the seat, as far as I can tell. The main body is very heavy-weight; the sides and the recline-thingy are more like an Evenflo.

It's hard, tough, and dense. Seems even tougher than melamine (stuff used in plastic dishes, here at least). I don't know if it's that it cracks easily...I think that if it gets hit/dropped the hardness forces it to crack. The force doesn't get spread out as easily. I'm not a physics person, so I don't know how to put it.

The only complaints I've seen of cracking in the Radians was on the recline-thingy, which isn't surprising as it's not the same kind of plastic as the main body. Have there been problems with cracking in the thicker, heavier parts?
