The Duggars got a new carseat

not sure if this should be here or in chat

on another board i'm on (SPB) the topic of the Duggars came up and somebody posted an article about them from a few days ago and they have the new baby in what appears to be a new Graco with a properly placed chest clip and tight looking straps, the jacket shes wearing might be a bit too thick but honestly i think that would be splitting hairs at this point.

isnt it an older graco? or has graco started using the old style handle again?

I have started noticing that handle on certain covers lately, the toy's r us near me has a graco travel system with that handle, If I'm right that is graco blackwell pattern and I think those were in 05' - 07' model

Looks like a blackwell to me and it still might be new, I still see them for sale online. I think she looks really nice and its great that they bought a new seat. It would be really great if they bought new ones for their older kids but at least the littlest one is safe.

my 05 SR has that handle, even if the seat is an 05 its still new

Holy WOW she looks different. Glad she ditched that hairdo!

Of all the things that bug me about them, it's the disposable diapers that kill me the most. Holy crap, 17 kids and never a single cloth diaper? It's not like she even has to wash them! I just can't believe it...

Yay on the car seat. WAY better than in the past.

I was thinking that, too. I about choked when I read that their estimated diaper usage to date is 90,000.

That was my first thought, too. Hmm, 90,000 disposables or 24 prefolds?

I bet they didn't buy it new... I bet it was used.

And it just doesn't help the rest of their kids.

I know so many of us on other boards have emailed and got the response that if the worst should happen, it would be "God's Plan"

Even if the seat is an 05 model, it's way way better then what they've had in the past. Her harness looks decently tightened, and her chest clip is right. So good for them. I like Michelle's new hair, it looks pretty on her.

i know we all have our thoughts on them and thats fine, but the issue here is that they got a better carseat, at least for the baby, which means maybe they're learning, which is awesome and means that we (not necessarly this board, but us carseat nuts in general) are making a diference, not just for the everyday people, but also slowly for those that are in the media/on tv. so keep up the good work everybody!:thumbsup:


and yeah thats a lot of diapers
