Is it labeled at 35#s for rear facing??

So far from what I've seen only the Diplomat currently has the higher limit.

I think Rebekah is right. Only the Diplomat (at least so far!) is labeled for 35 pounds RF.

Is this expected to be quietly phased in? Or do we expect a formal news release when it happens?

What did Britax do when they uped the RF limit on the Roundabout. If I remember correctly, the Roundabout that I owned (which was purchased in the summer of 2004) only RF to 30 pounds.

My MA has a DOM of 1/14/08 and the manual and stickers all say 33 lbs. (You can bet that was one of the first things I checked!

)

I got it right from Britax - they sent it to replace my Decathlon (I was having problems with the harness - couldn't tighten it with DD buckled in). The DOM is 1/14, it was shipped to me on 1/17, and arrived on 1/18! Talk about getting the most "life" out of a seat!

I've also had a Regent that was similarly new when I purchased it from AlbeeBaby.com in November 2005 (before the Kyle Miller "rush" on Regents). I think they must have them drop-shipped directly from Britax to save on shipping costs.

Does anyone know if Britax made any changes to the seats or if they are just re-testing them for the higher limit?

We don't know for certain either way, but the new limit will not be retroactive.
