A couple more Nautilus questions

How easily does it install in general?
Any word on installation in (ideally center of) newer Volvo station wagon & not new (but not old) Honda CRV?
How much does the seat weigh?

My DD's best friend just turned 6 & only recently outgrew her Comfortsport -- she's a teeny tiny itty bitty li'l thing -- parents are divorced, both have very tight budgets & want to share the seat.... I figured this would be their best option for long term use since it becomes a nice booster evetually & they do travel, so the backless option is good :)

I just installed it in a 1999 CRV in the center (lap belt) - very easy.

I didn't weigh it, but it is HEAVY. Seemed at least as heavy as the Wizard I was taking out of the car, and more awkward to carry as well.

:thanx!: I wish I could get ahold of the family to know the exact vehicle years, but I will pass this feedback along to them with the Over 40# list of options from cpsafety.org :)

I personally got a weight of 22lbs. I find it to be very awkward to carry which makes it feel heavier to me then a seat with a similar weight, like the Radian.

I have only installed it in a '03 Trailblazer, and it installed very easily. Though I have found the TB to be a dream to install car seats in so I cant say I have had trouble with any seat in it.

I wish I knew someone with the cars you are interested in but unfortunately I don’t.

My installation of the Nautilus in a '97 Dodge Intrepid was super easy. It's the first carseat I've tried to install in this car that actually held the "locking" seatbelts at the correct angle so they hold tight without a locking clip/lock-off.

UPDATE

Mom ordered the Apex for her Volvo (with center headrest + shoulder belt) & Dad will have the Nautilus in his CRV for their 3' 33# six year old :) Thanks! I'll let y'all know if we discover any compatibility issues....

Not a CRV, but I installed one in a 2000 Odyssey. Then the mom installed it and got it in just as fast as I had. That seat was seriously easy.
