Database Errors

I keep getting database errors in the mornings. The whole site is just down for a while due to this. Problems with your provider? Just wanted to give you a heads up.

I know they sometimes do maintenance overnight which can include restarting the SQL server. I think they told me this usually happens between midnight and 3am pacific time or something like that but should only last around 5 minutes or so.

This weekend they were doing a major SQL cluster upgrade and it is apparently now complete as of 5:39 AM central time Tuesday morning.

We apologize for any inconvenience, this upgrade should bring our mySQL clusters to 48Ghz from a current 32Ghz and result in better performance.

Please post on this thread if you continue to have problems this week, outside of ~5 minute downtimes very early in the morning.

I just got this error, I haven't had it since I posted about it last time.

I got this error this morning. It was about 5:45-6:15 Eastern Time.

The last error in my log was 4:54 AM central time so the maintenance was completed around then. Some types of errors may not be included in the log, but hopefully there shouldn't be any consistent problems after that time.
