A Century way before Graco

Here is a Century 4100, 1981. Five point, lots of padding, big and roomy. I could sit in it! It reminds me of my grandfathers naugahyde recliner! LOL. There was an earlier version of this in dark brown with an overhead tube like armrest, but I could never procure one.

I sat in one of those when I was 5! I remember borrowing it from a neighbour to play with. Mom gave her my old Strolee!

My little brother was born in 88 and had one similar to that. It had the OHS, though. I remember dragging it out of the garage when I was younger and putting my dolls in it. My dad said he used to love that seat, my brother was always carsick as a baby and it was the simplest thing in the world to clean.

Hmmmm....that just MIGHT be one of the seats I had. Mine would have been a little older, though.

Love seeing these old seats!

My brother rode in one of those...and I remember my mom making a new cover for it because he kept burning his legs on the brown vinyl...

Have you noticed - or does anyone else here know - around what time manufacturers went from the harness-type material chest clip to the now plastic ones? Does anyone know any benefits to the plastic ones?
