I am wondering because in my area, our hospital refers people for carseat inspections/installs to a particular fire department. The man there, who is a CPST, is misinformed and is giving out improper information. I.E. he told me that all carseats are required to have their handles down while in motion in the vehicle, he never told me that the prince lionhart car seat protector pad was a big no-no, and he ok'd my infant seat with bundle-me lite (before I was aware of this site .)
So, once you become a CPST, are you required to keep up? Does it vary from state to state? Can you become a tech from different organizations that require different things?
TIA!
