Is there a rumor floating around about a combo seat from Britax or does someone have some inside info? That makes my heart race now that we're all about FF seats these days, LOL!!

Someone (retailer insider) mentioned it the other day...they hinted to me at Lifesavers that something was coming. That's literally all we know

I just posted a reply in a thread on the main board where this question came up and I'm too lazy to retype it. ;)

So far there is no definite sign of a Britax combo seat coming to market. I remember a poster on ivillage mentioning a carseat store owner was told by a Britax rep. last year that one was in the works, but I haven't seen any further news or even a hint of news that it's a coming attraction. Fingers crossed one might pop up on the market out of the blue and pleasantly surprise us all like the Graco Nautilus.

Re: Nautilus online!
Britax may be coming out with a new seat that harnesses to 65 or 80 pounds and then converts to a booster. The earliest potential release date I have heard is April 2008.

I expect it will be similar to the UK Evolva found at the following link:

http://www.britax.co.uk/index.php?op...id=8&Itemid=31

Hopefully it will be a nice new addition to the Britax line or an alternative to the Parkway and Monarch.

OMGoodness! That Evolva looks so neat! *drool* What a great Spring it would be with the True Fit, Britax combo and SK Monterey hitting the market

:rolleyes: I halfway hope Leah hits 35 pounds soon so I can FF her, if this seat comes out by summer (the way my kids grow, it'll be NEXT summer... but then again, with Britaxes usual delays on things, that'll be fine, rofl!)

Well, they have been discontinuing the Parkway... Could that be part of the release of this yet unknown combo seat? I mean, they wouldn't want too much product confusion and internal product competition...

I would be so happy!! I would craigslist the GN and get one of these for my car, depending on how the GN/Regent fit Avi and what the harness slots are on this seat!!

Can anyone find out for sure??? Maybe through Sarah Tilton or something?? I won't buy a regent in Feb if I can get one of these in April:confused:

It looks interesting. I looked at the manual and it is has KG's listed no mention of pounds. I wonder if it is already available in other countries or if it is only going to be a European seat.

The Evolva 1-2-3 is available in the UK and a few other places. I am HOPING it comes here, but with a HWH. The current version does not have a HWH. :(

If it goes to 65# and has at least 19" slots, I'd be sold. :) If it's only 18", that's no higher than my Radian, though this has some nice SIP.

Sort of an apples to oranges comparison, though, isn't it? I mean, imagine you have a three year old ff and don't need a narrow seat that's compact for traveling or handmedown as a convertible to a younger baby...would you really choose the Radian based on 'the same top slot height' alone?

Argh. April? Figure 6 mo delay, and we're looking at October. Perfect for replacing Nadia's Marathon that expires in Nov, right? Except after getting a v1.0 Marathon, I swore I'd never buy a brand another new seat until it had been out for at least 6 mo!

Sweet. Joel will probably go FF late this summer maybe next spring. But either way if this comes out, has a good sticker price and long lifetime then we could totally get one!
