Your suggestions please

I had a call from a great-grandmother who was looking for suggestions for a car seat for her great-granddaughter... she said that they have tried 3 car seats and they all squeeze the little girl's stomach. She is under two and weighs about 35 pounds. I guess the baby is 'pretty fat' in the gg-ma's words.

Anyway, does anyone have a suggestion of a seat that would accomodate this little round girl? I'm thinking I would want to suggest a HWH since she is less than two yo.

Joy actually has more side-to-side and shoulder room in the Evenflo Triumph Advance than she does in the MA.

Squeezing her stomach? Are they trying overhead shield seats?

I agree that the Evenflo Triumph Advance would be a good choice, or a Cosco Apex if the vehicle has headrests or tall seatbacks (but be sure to order them--or have them order--the longer crotch strap).

I too think the Triumph Advance would be a great choice. I think it's rounder shape fits rounder kids well.

I hadn't really thought about it being a OHS... I'll have to ask her about that. Our phones are out today, so I might not get to ask her that until later today, or tomorrow....
