Install Question - Eddie Bauer Prospect Adjustable Highback Booster

For various reasons, I decided to install this seat for DS in DH's 2003 Toyota Corolla. Let me just mention how much I hate installing this seat (recalling trying to install it while 38 weeks pregnant in my parents' car so they could have a seat for DS while I was in the hospital). Anyway, after much blood, sweat, and tears, I got an acceptable install using LATCH with just a tiny smidgen of movement. My question is, though, is the gap between the back of the car seat and the seat back acceptable, and if not, what can I do to remedy it?

It's fine. A seat can move up to 1 inch for side to side at the belt path. It doesn't have to be welded to the car.

I suspect that if you raise or remove the head rest nearly all of the gap will go away. It looks like the headrest is preventing the seat from resting on the back of you vehicle completely. Sometimes the headrests can be removed and turned backwards and then you're going to get a better installation.

It's not touching the headrest at all. I actually had it off but put the headrest back on after tethering it.
