We have a case worker who has an ancient expired century carseat in her car. Its installed so weirdly, It looks like a FF baby bucket.

I am giving her our 9 month old AO today, and showing her how to use it with dd as a model.

good luck!
I am selling my AOE right now. And offered to show how to install it and get her to touch it last or something. To at least feel how secure it is. I really do hate those seats but it is better then nothing and it works well for a RFing child (until they outgrow it like Cooper did)

Well, knock me over with a feather.

the seat doesnt expire for 2 years!!!!! I thought Century didnt make carseats past 2002??

She told me her seatbelts wouldn't lock, and I figured she was right, but when I got out there, they DID LOCK!! I was able to switch them easily into ALR mode.

I put the FF boot down, locked the seatbelt, and got it in with about an inch of movement.
There were no latch anchors and no top tether.

She was impressed.

I just showed her how to use it correctly, and told her no coats in the carseat, and to keep th straps tight.

Oh! and get this!

I asked her about it and she said she just bought it. She said she bought it from TRU for 25 bucks when he was 1.

25 bucks for a convertible? It said it RF to 22 lbs, and FF to 40 lbs.

Glad it worked out hat her seat was not expired afterall. I believe the last Century convertables made were 2004. That is probably why she got it for $25.
