So, who's buying a Nautilus?

So who's buying one, and will it be an additional seat or will it replace one your kiddo is already using?

I just had to ask. :p

We'll be getting one for dd and the Radian will go into storage. :)

I got one as a seat for our second car, and for traveling. If I didn't love our primary seat so much, though, I'd have no qualms about using it as our main seat.

Have you used a Radian or MA at all Jennie? Dd was going to be going into the MA when we get ds the triumph advance, but now I think I'd rather put her into this - I love the harness system so much on my SS1 and the buckles and chest clip are exactly the same on this seat... plus it has higher harness slots.

I am having one sent over to replace the radian. It will hopefully the last seat that I will need to buy till I come home and get a new booster for dd.

If it seems to offer kids more torso room than the Radian, I *might* have to get one if I can find a good deal in a month or two when our tax refund comes in. Or, maybe a Radian, if I can convince H it's comfy enough (maybe it will support her legs well enough with the vehicle seat helping out? It does sit nice and low...) AND if I can convince myself shoulders over top slots by a little bit isn't a huge deal. :p Yes, I know, I just recently moved her to boosters full-time, but I don't like the idea of not having a harnessed seat to use on longer trips. She's doing wonderfully in her booster, but...but...I just hate not having a harnessed seat for her. :(

I'm waiting until July before I buy a new seat because I'm waiting til dd#1 is 3 before turning her FF (wouldnt be able to get 2 HWH seats both RFing back there).

So I am going to look at both the Compass True Fit and the Graco Nautilus before deciding which one to get. I know that if the true fit isnt awesome, then we'll be getting the Nautilus. I'm hoping there will be more covers and possibly gracopedic foam by then as well.

I'm not sure if it will fit where I'd need it to go though.
It would be outboard drivers side, but we'll have a RFing Radian in the center. Do you think it would fit next to it?

Same here! Unless I get a really good deal on a Radian before hand.

Well, if and when it comes to Canada it will be on my list to consider for DS when he outgrows his Radian's. Course I need to double check the harness height before I commit to this, off to check.

I want to get one to replace dh's Cosco hbb which only harnesses to 40 pounds. I had thought about the Apex, but they don't sell them in any local stores here, and I'm not crazy about it needing a headrest. If he should ever get a vehicle that allows a center install, I would like to be able to do that without worrying about the headrest issue.

So if I can find a Nautilus in Walmart soon, I'm going to bring it home. Dh doesn't really want a new seat, so I haven't said anything  but I'm not comfortable with the fact that he is outgrowing the hbb.

I think we will be getting one for my hubby's car. I've been waiting forever for a second seat. (DS rides in a SG in my car) This might be just perfect!!! :)

It's a very good possibility, but I want to see it in person first. I'll probably buy it for Matt's car. We've been doing without back up seats since his car accident since I haven't found any seats that meet my needs for Kaylie. It really looks like it will be a great fit for us.

I'll be getting one for DS and moving DD into the MA and I'll keep the Radian as a spare seat. I'm not loving my Radian and I can't get an acceptable FF install in my van so we'll keep it and use it in my inlaws van. When the time comes for DD to FF I may sell the Radian and buy another Nautilus.

I think we're going to get one for our very secondary vehicle and for travel. I hate the uncertainty of the Radian install at the other end - I think the Nautilus will be more compatible (and it looks like it would eventually replace the Radian in height.)

If the Radian never has to move from our main car again, I'll be happy! (Of course, if DS loves his new seat, the Radian just might end up in storage.)

I plan on getting one and selling the FPSVD. I like that it will give him longer to be harnessed, more head support, has less of a base, and looks like a "big kid seat". If it works out well, I'll replace the one in his dad's car too. But his FPSVD sits differently in his dad's car, so he has about one more inch of growing room than in my car and plus his dad has headrests (so he has some amount of back-up head support).
