Ok Disney world trip is getting here soon... mid march but soon enough! I have to do something about this stroller situation ASAP! Here's the scoop, Abby and Allie need to fit in the stroller. I will probably only use it at disney world and the malls, walking maybe this summer if i can get motivated! LOL Abby is around 40 something and allie is 35#s now. when we do disney we do it all day long sun up to sun down they nap in the stroller if need be, for allie this would be every day, abby give or take, but getting up early and staying out late i'm sure she'll do her fair share of napping.
I'm really not sure what i'm looking for at all, i'm not a stroller person never have been I always used a sling/carrier for the kids, even when we went to disney in '05 when allie was 12 months old, abby was 3, and austin was 5 we just took a standard double and when austin was tired i'd just put allie in a carrier about 1/2 the time... so i have no clue but i know at disney i need one i go through this every time!!!! HELP ME out!!!

Oh the budget let's just say keep it reasonable ... DH will probably not like it if it's much over $200 or so... give or take??

Well, if you really only need something for Disney, look into renting one of their double strollers. Kate Gosselin, the mom on "Jon and Kate + 8," said she LOVED the double strollers at Disney.

oh yeah i was going to address the renting issues... I'm not spending $120 to rent a stroller, also i have to leave it at the gate when i leave with sleepy or sleeping kids at 10-12 at night i'm no way carrying a sleeping 35 or 40 # kids on the tram to the car, then from the car to the hotel room!!! I need a stroller that can stay with me the whole trip!!! :)

:yeahthat:

or

What about a Baby Jogger City Series Single? folds with one hand, lighweight, holds 75lbs, has air tires, easy to push, SUPER tall seatback, will fit 5 year old EASILY, great resale value, great canopy for Florida's harsh sun.

Or are you wanting a double?

Others that are possibilities:

pTRU1-3011781dt.jpg

Chicco C5 Twin Stroller- $190
(I don't know the weight limit of the seats, though. I think it is 50 lb.).

pTRU1-3986316dt.jpg

Joovy Groove 2- $250
(I think the weight limit for each seat is 45 lb.)

If the canopies are too wimpy for the Florida sun, you could always get a Protect-a-Bub or similar product. I LOVE my Protect-a-Bub and the Kiddopatomus one I have too.

See i'd love to go single or like the joovy sit n stand thing but i got to thinking what the world am i going to do if both girls sleep at the same time??? They can't sleep on that little seat?! Abby is the melt down child and the drama will be ON if she doesn't have her own spot!!! I hate to spend $$$ on a double but i think i have to at this point, i can always resell later on by '09 she will go NO stroller or i'll just leave her at home! LOL

I wonder how some of thoes will be for Abby she is 46" now and still her torso is only about 15" i think so she is kinda ALL LEGS, we have a cheepo safeyt 1st transit stroller we used last year but abby's legs just don't fit anywhere in it, she's not comfy at all in it.

I definately think you could re-sell it especially if it is a new stroller, hardly used and in great condition you could likely recoup a lot of your cost.

A double might be nice for going through the airport as well

Based on this info, I would get the Baby Jogger City Series Double Mini. Baby Joggers are infamous for having very tall seat backs. It only weighs 23lbs (how much singles usually weigh). They are suppose to be released on Monday :)

ETA: Ah, phooey...I remembered you had a budget..sorry for my post then :(
