Cosco Summit strap

I have contacted the Dorel company about the on going problem with the straps on my Summit car seat. I have asked for a replacement or refund. I hope to hear back from them this week. I plan on calling them Monday to make sure they hear me loud and clear about this seat issue. In the mean time is ther anything that can be done about the straps. I can't stand to put my daughter in this seat but I can't afford to replace it.

Cosco typically sells new harnesses for a couple bucks...the newer ones are much less twisty

The other thing is to be really careful about how you buckle her in. I'll wager a guess that you tend to dig for the buckle tongues first (because long ago I used to do that and had to untwist straps all the time;-) ).

If you'll grab the straps above her shoulders first and smooth them down as you pull them over her arms and buckle the chest clip, *then* go for the buckle tongues, sliding them up the strap a little and then back down as you buckle, the straps won't get all twisted like that.

I know a new harness, chest clip and whole buckle set up for my AOE was only $13 shipped so it shouldn't cost much for just the straps.
