Why I love carseats with headwings

we've been at the inlaws for the holidays, and have been doing some driving in MIL's CRV. DD1 has an APEX (biltmore) in that car. it fits her really well, but she complained that she didn't like it. when we asked why, she said "there's nowhere to rest my head!". she flopped her head side to side to demonstrate. :( she wanted to ride in our car instead. after some back-and-forth, we convinced her to stay in MIL's car, and ten minutes later she was asleep :), but her head was slumped on her shoulder :(.

Bean the First has a Wizard, and even with that, he'll fall asleep with his head dangling forward. It looks REALLY uncomfortable, but I guess it can't bother him that much or he wouldn't be asleep, right?

They both love their wings, though. Bean the Second calls them her pillows.

LOL, I agree. My dd used to be SO grumpy about having to ride in the Regent when she was tired...she even preferred the Radian because was better for resting her head!

SPB, I can picture your little curly haired girlie flopping her head. I loved the pics you posted when you got your Signo- she's adorable

My 7.5yo loves her Vivo Lite and PW boosters because of the wings- she constantly lies her head to one side and can't do it comfortably in the Regent.

That's the main reason DS didn't like the Regent... He loves his Marathon and the Radian because his head can rest on the sides.

that's an interesting idea. right now it is sitting in it's box in the basement, i suppose i could swap it for the APEX and keep the APEX boxed up as the spare.

I'm sorry, but I can just imagine you shouting "APEX!" when I read that. Is there a reason you're shouting it? :p

LOL Has SPB temporarily found his Cap Locks key? ;) :p those pesky caps usually don't appear so heavily in his posts.

Maybe because he's used to typing AMEX? LOL :p

bingo. monthly.

honestly, when i first joined here there was a flurry of apex threads and someone had capitalized apex. i thought it was an acronym or something, so i just started typing it that way.

heh, can you imagine, running down the street shouting APEX! APEX! while wielding a LATCH strap?

Quoting Bitsy from a long time ago " I can't reach Kar's car seat!!!" as she sat in the darn thing.

I don't know why I remember that.
