What year did it become obligatory for car manufactures to include the UAS anchors? I am looking at Honda crv's so if anyone knows when they started including them?

Thanks

UAS (Universal Anchorage System) and LATCH (Lower Anchorage and Tethers for Children) are not necessary to properly install a seat. This system was designed in hope of making carseat installations easier. UAS/LATCH and seatbelt installs are both equally safe, providing the child restraint is properly installing.

Sometimes installing with a seatbelt is easier. Once your child reaches 40lbs you MUST use the vehicles Seatbelt provided to install the child restraint. The reason is because Honda's LATCH system only goes to 40lbs
