Is there a list of recommended infant seats?

    OK, that's the question.

I can find lists of recommended convertibles and boosters,
but none of infant seats and their various qualities.

I love our Graco SS1, my DD looked so cozy in it and even though it is on the bigger side it holds up to 30lbs.

Re: Is there a list of recommended infant seats?

What should I look for in an Infant (carrier) Seat:

    5 point harness
    Front harness adjuster
    Tall seat shell
    Low bottom harness slots
    Tall top harness slot
Some infant seats have higher weight limits
Width if you need to fit three seats across in your vehicle

    (from www.rbranch-cpst.com)
That said, I really like the Chicco Keyfit 30 and the Graco Safe Seat 1. They both have a 30 lb weight limit and a nice tall seat shell.
