Does Britax replace EPS under warranty?

Maybe its from the straps pulling down on the foam?? I think that it depends on who you get weather they will replace it. Good luck.

I've only ever used it on the second slots.

we'll see how many tries it takes me tomorrow. ;)

It sort of makes sense...I think.

If your using the 2nd slot from the bottom rearfacing, and the cover doesn't always line up with the shell and the straps have to be at or below the shoulders then I could see that there could be pressure pushing up on the foam.

Good luck getting it replaced.

when you took the cover off how many pieces of foam were there? I mean, were there like two big chunks, or was it crumbled?

Is it possible that little man is picking at the eps foam through the slits while you are driving?

it was two big chunks. I guess maybe he could have played with. I don't think so, but I can't say I'm certain because he is 3. and rf. Who knows what's going on back there. ;)

Britax replaced the EPS foam on my Regent a couple of months ago for free. They even overnighted it to me (which was unneccessary - no wonder their seats are so expensive! ) I was installing it LBP in my 1998 Escort and had to lift the cover up and really manhandle the thing - chipped a 4" triangle right off the corner of the foam - oops! Made me really glad that I don't usually have to install it in that car. (The ONLY way I could get a tight install was LBP w/o recline bar.)

It looks to me like he reached his arm backwards, stuck his fingers through the slit and pullled down, and voila it breaks off :shrug-shoulders:

Britax was great about replacing mine. I broke a piece off of a Roundabout while installing it. The seat wasn't even under warranty and they still sent it for no cost.

Good luck.
