Good news, bad news...

Good news: The weather warmed up today, so I was able to get out and rearrange carseats while the baby napped.

Bad news: The weather warmed up today, so while I was out rearranging carseats during the baby's nap, the tree I was parked under kept dropping little icicles and melted ice on me. :D

I had the baby in the "center" of the second row in the rear facing Marathon, but I wasn't really happy with the LATCH install, and Nadia had to crawl on her hands and knees to get to her FF Marathon behind the driver. She didn't mind, but EWWW! LOL

When I moved Nadia's Marathon to the passenger side, I checked the expiration date. I thought it expired after the other MA, but the manufacture date was Sept 2002. Oops. The other MA was manufactured Nov 2002. I'm going to be replacing TWO Marathon's next fall! The FF Marathon installs much easier with LATCH in that position, though, so that was good.

I got a 2005 Roundabout from Sears, so I put that in for the baby. I was going to pop a vessel trying to get the harness on the rear facing Marathon tight. Roundabout = love! LOL I discovered that the Microdot Tan matches the upholstery in my Odyssey almost perfectly. It's still boring and dull, but it does match. It installed very easily with the seatbelt. I couldn't find a place to tether it, but other than that, it's great. It doesn't even touch the front seat, which is all the way back as far as it will go.

Now that I've got the Marathon indoors, I'll take a picture of the baby in it. She fits surprisingly well in it, especially since she was under 8 lb at birth!

Ulrike, are you talking about your Odyssey, or your Pilot? You said LATCH second row center, so I am assuming pilot?

Yay, it warmed up for you guys too  It's kinda pretty when it's all melting :D

Your story reminded me of what happened last night. I was at my parents house and we heard a loud CRASH!!! They have a very long slated metal roof. Apparently a big piece of ice slid off. It made us all jump, but we giggled once we realized what it was. I haven't lived at home in many years, but my parents are use to hearing noises like that with a metal roof.
