    More ?? about CPS certification

So ya have the class in which you have to pass the test and be part of a check in order to get your certification, right? (or, roughly that, I may not have 'spit that out' quite right)

Then what else is required of you?

I mean, I'm all for this cause and have for some time wanted to do this...
I just want to make sure I am really available, kwim?

I mean, I do have 5 kids, pg with #6, I home school during the week then spend time w/the fam on weekends..Saturdays often spent at the track. Not saying these things cannot be worked around...I'm just mentioning them as some 'may' need to be. I'm trying to get a feel for how *much* 'working around' will need to be done.

Gee, I hope this doesn't come across 'bad'.

I just honestly want to be sure I AM available and CAN offer and give back, kwim?

Here is the training manual. It can give you a better idea of what you will be doing.

You will do several class exercises during your training. Some hands on that you must pass ans some group scenerios.

Not at all. I not only saved it, but also printed it all out a couple months before my class. I had it memorized before class. My instructors told me I could not answer any questns after the first couple of hours ...LOL

only about the first 200 pages are actually covered during the training course. The second half is appendices with things like forms, the IMMI study on twisting buckle stalks, AAP stance on carseats, etc.

This is true I just got tired of scrolling down pages, so decided to invest some paper and ink to print it.

I wouldn't print it out before taking the class -- unless, computer screens bother your eyes! *I* have it printed, too ... because my course was before the curriculum update: I'm practicing what we preach about staying up to date Luckilly my parents support my needs for printing within reason (like, CPST stuff or college research/papers)
