Evenflo Triumph Advance and ALL Evenflo Convertibles - Installation rule

I just read the whole manual and it does not say it has to have 1 inch clearance as it does for the infant seat. So according to the manual it it is fine if it touches the seat in front of it.

i would say manual trumps word of mouth. word of mouth does not hold up in a court of law. a printed document does. liability, liability...

Oh, the manual is what matters, most definitely...but we all know how ambiguous and unclear some manuals can be, and that's why it's important to get accurate information from CS reps. Misinformation like this about Evenflo convertibles will continue being passed around as fact if the CS reps can't keep the rules straight.

I specifically bought a Triumph way back when (2002) for my tiny 2dr sports car since it was the smallest front to back seat I could get at the time and it was allowed to touch the front seat. :) That was the only way that dh (6'3") could still drive that car. ;)

I've also only ever known that rule to apply to infant seats.
