Hmmm...I get to pick out a new seat for my niece!

And only the geeks among us know what fun that is. So--she's 3.5 years, about 35 lbs., and not sure of her height--she's a tall skinny thing, though. Most of her height is in her legs. She is currently in a MA, and just moved up to the top slots. My sister wants to give one of her MAs to her MIL to keep in her car and get something new for her car--but most likely not another MA, something that will get her further along down the harnessed path.
When she rides with me she rides in a Radian, and she fits well in it---next to top slots. But I hate that seat, and I don't think that it's going to do well in my sister's car(Hundai Santa Fe--not sure of the year--2002 or 03).
None of this has to be done immediately, so we have some time to explore the possibilities.I looked at the Regent manual online tonight, and Holy CoW! I was confused and irritated, and I know how to install that thing--sort of. I never used a recline bar with the Husky, so I may take her car over to BBRUS and try it out. I know that's the tallest option, and she's open to it.
If I can't get the Regent installed, what then? There's really only one tech in town that I'd even call, unless one of you guys can come to the Upstate SC area....
Compass true fit, Triumph advance, Radian, Recaro? The Safeguard seat is out of budget range. She will outgrow any seat in height LONG before weight. Mama is 6' tall, Daddy is 6'4.
Just rambling here....anyone have any other suggestions to try?

I would try the Regent. The manual does look intimidating at 1st, but it is the easiest install out of all our seats.

I'm excited to see what you pick! She sounds the same size as my 3 yo dd and I am trying to decide if I should get her something new and pass down her ma or get baby her own ma!! I'll be following this thread! I'm interested mostly in the regent or true fit - just waiting for reviews.
