Shoulder Straps Question

For RF, is it better to have the straps too high or too low? Meaning if your child is at the height where the higher slot is sometimes above the shoulder and sometimes at or below the shoulder, should you just keep it at the lower slot even though it looks really low, or move it up anyway even though sometimes the straps are above the shoulder? Is it possible to have the straps too low?

And also for FF, is it better to have the straps too high or too low? If the harness is sometimes below the shoulders and sometimes at or above the shoulders, should you move it up so that it's always above the shoulders, even though it looks really high, or keep it in the lower slot even though sometimes the straps end up below the shoulder? Is it possible to have the straps too high?

For RF, it is better to have the straps in the lower slot, so that they are never above the child's shoulders. So, yes, keep them in the lower slot even if it looks really low.

For FF, it is better to have the straps in the higher slot, so that they are never below the child's shoulders. I would move it up so that it is always above the child's shoulders, even if it seems really high.
