He made me sad. We were at the daycare yesterday and we had a car on each side with a Britax in them. He told me he wanted a Britax, not a stinky Apex..

I just old him if we had the spare money mommy would get him a Regent for sure.

It just broke my heart to hear him say that. Now I wished I had a job for long enought to buy him one. LOL...

I just had to share because I think I am making my child a bit of a car seat freak. He knows how good Britaxs are..

I am sorry . Maybe you can catch a good deal in Feb when they have thier big sale again an surpise him. It is hard hwen your kids want somethting especially something like this that you can't get at the time. {{{{{HUGS}}}}} DOn't feel sad. AT least he doesn ot tell you what DS#2 used to tell me when he asked for something and I tld him I did not have the money..."You could just write them a check Mommy it does not have to be dollars"

LOL That is cute. He has said that before..
I would scrap and save and get one, but I just dont think I could talk dh into keeping Johnathon harneesed much past 7. He will make it to that in the Apex.
We will see though.

Thanks. Good luck I hope you van convince DH to keep him harnessed as long as possible. Maybe DH will listen to DS if he tells him how bad he wants one

Wow!

We have two Apex's (grandma's car and PAW's truck), and DS1 has a regent also (main seat), he's never complained about the difference between the two..

Interesting that he's just asking for the 'name'.

yeah, i fear the day my DDs become brand conscious. i know it's inevitable, but it's sad nonetheless.

Yea, i know. Me too.

I'm soooo happy spending $3, on a shirt at walmart right now. LOL!

However if you don't 'expose' them to brand names (we don't wear brand names, and don't intend too) they probably could care less... until they hit school age.

okay back to topic. LOL!

Yes, kind of sad that a 5-year-old has brand consciousness bothering him already. Not sad that he rides in a perfectly fine Apex rather than a Regent, IMO. Guess I'm fortunate that my 6 y.o. still is pretty much oblivious to this stuff (e.g. envying classmates for name-brand shoes, fancier clothes, video games, whatever...). I'm sure the day will come, but we're trying to delay it as much as possible, mainly by virtue of the fact that DH and I don't talk/care about this stuff ourselves, LOL. DS has noticed occasionally that some of his friends have bigger rooms, fancier toys, etc. (e.g. when he visits another house for a birthday party), so I guess some of it is just inevitable...

Re: brand stuff, I HATE clothes that have the label splashed all over them. Annoys me to no end.
