As long as you have followed thier instructions for care they are usually pretty good about replacing them from what I have seen. They may ask for a credit card to put a hold on the amount of the cover if they want you to return the damaged one.

I've returned 2 covers to Britax that were coming apart; one of them was out of warranty and the other was 2 months old. The first one they sent a brand new one, no questions asked and never asked for the original one back and the second one they had me return the defective one and put a hold on my credit card until they got the cover back. And they gave me a return label for the one I had to ship back so that I didn't have to pay for shipping.
