List of highest strap level in various car seats?

I'm looking for a new seat for my 2 yo. He is outgrowing his current convertible (Graco COmfortsport) by height loooong before weight. In looking for a new seat, I'd be interested to see the measurement of the highest level the straps can be at for a variety of different cars (from seat to strap. ex: 17 inches), but it seems like manufacturers only publish max weight info. That is so misleading for the general public! But i digress...

Anyone know of such a resource without having to go to a store and measure them all myself? I live in a rural area so most likely will need to travel a distance to see all the seats in person. Just like to narrow it down before I do that...

Thanks!

Recaro Young Sport 17" (but only harnesses to 40 lbs)

I would say that the Safeguard Go I tried this weekend is the same as the Apex, at 17". My dd was crammed into both of them and is just over the Radian's top slots.

I've seen the higher measurement on the Safeguard go, but I know my dd doesn't have a 19.5" torso! She also complained about the Go hurting her shoulders when I tightened her up.

There are two similar threads going. The grumpy looking blonde in the princess seat is my dd, and supposedly has about a 17 inch torso. She's above the harness on the Radian. I'm not at all disagreeing, but if we can figure this out I'll know how long of a torso she has. Every time I measure her it's different.
I know she's maxed out in the Go and Apex and as far as my comfort goes, she's maxed out the Radian. (I'm still a little paranoid with the harness being below her shoulder.)
She's got about an inch and a half before she's even with the Husky slots.
So I'm rereading that thread that was linked to and I say it's about as clear as mud. Helpful...
