Some brainstorming help my car seat fanatic friends! :P

My friend is writing up something about car seats but is lost for a word (or words) so has tried to pick my brains but I'm a bit clueless too to be honest!

How to explain this..

The word we use for "the distance the head travels on impact" is head excursion - OK. But what would be the word for the "actual force" (nothing to do with distance) be? i.e. they measures the forces on the neck since that is what causes most of the injuries - but is there special terminology for that?

Thanks!!

Any ideas.. just post them!

Hm, I'm thinking I'd re-read through that Swedish study ... you have it somewhere, I'm sure ;):)

(I was *just* thinking about you, wondering how you're doing?)

Which Swedish study is that?

And I'm good thanks! Been busy so haven't been around much lately - how are you?

Spinal Flexation maybe? I've seen that term used to describe the movement of the head in relation to a vertical axis in neck injury reports for a variety of neck injuries.
