Is it crazy to buy a used seat for the cover? I have the graco safeseat 1 and there is one on craigslist for $20 (with 2 bases) in the heirloom pattern. I really like that cover and for the price, I think it's worth it. Also, the level thingy on my seat fell off and I would like to replace it. (From Graco, it's like $15 with shipping.) So, for $20 I am getting a cover (with the head insert) and a level thing. Now to figure out what to do with the rest of the seat!

That sounds like a great price for a cover you really like, as long as it is in good condition. I hope you are able to grab that deal before someone else gets it.

Oh, I know, I have no problems using a second hand cover either.

What I think is funny is that you guys on this board are probably the only ones that wouldn't look at me funny when I told they I was planning to purchase an entire set (seat, 2 bases, etc.) just to get a cheap cover. :D
