    Britax Marathon 70G3

My 6 year old is small. 40 pounds, 46 inches. I’d like to keep her in a 5 point harness for as long as possible but the shoulder straps on her Britax Marathon 70-G3 are now at the highest height and are below her shoulder level. Is there a way to raise these even more? Am I missing something or has she just outgrown the seat.

Hi! If you've loosened the straps, raised it up and it won't go higher, it's probably outgrown. 6 is longer than many kids last in that seat. If she's got an average to long torso I'm not terribly surprised at a child that size outgrowing the seat.

At 6, many/most kids are booster-ready, but you could also get a taller harnessed seat if you want. The seat you have has 16.5-16.75" top slots so any of the seats with at least an 18.5" top harness height will definitely get you to 7 or 8, when pretty much all typically developing kids are booster-ready.
