    Safest car seat for Any car

    What is the safest car seat for 7 month 29 inches long 20 pound baby that can be used in any rental or zip car and Mercedes E350 and Lexus RX 350

    Hi there.

    There is no safest seat. They all pass the same safety tests. One may do better in one test, but that doesn't mean they all do as well in all tests. So, as long as you use the seat properly, and install it properly, your baby will be remarkably safe.

    What is important for such a tall baby is to have a seat that will rear face as long as possible. And since you don't know what car you'll be in, let's plan for a compact situation. And if you're moving from car to car, let's also think easy. I'd look at the Britax ClickTight convertibles, as they're compact front to back and easy to install. However, they're upright when compact. The Graco Extend2Fit will allow for a recline while still compact, though it has a more traditional install. It's not difficult to install. It's also lighter than the Britax ClickTight installs.

    But those are ones I'd very much consider.
