    No tether or anchor

Hi. We have a 99 Pontiac Montana van and recently discussed moving our 7yo to a booster (Evenflo Chase XL). Unfortunately, we have no tether or anchors in the vehicle so the carseat can only be secured by the seat belt, which is obviously the same seat belt she'd use in the booster. Is this okay? Is is safe?

    Re: No tether or anchor

That's absolutely fine. The only reason a booster has anchors is to hold it in when it's empty. So, when she gets out, have her buckle it back in. Then, it's secured, and it's not a projectile and it's perfect. You're protected from the empty booster (what the anchors do anyway), and you don't need to worry.

    She's over 40 pounds and 43.3 inches?

    Re: No tether or anchor

The Chase often does not provide a great fit in booster mode for many kids as the shoulder belt guides on the sides are fixed and not adjustable. A dedicated booster will last longer and provide a better fit.
