Question Britax Highpoint installation question

Hello!

I just moved my son to the Highpoint today. I plan on calling Britax tomorrow, but wanted to ask you all now! I know the seat is supposed to be ready to install out of the box. I put in the cup holders, then attached the latch connectors to my 2014 Jeep Cherokee. My son hopped in and I adjusted the head restraint. It fits him great. When we had take a short trip, I noticed and he mentioned that the top of the seat comes forward several inches when I brake. Is this normal? It doesn't seem right to me.

Thanks so much!

Hey there!
A few things to check:
First, is there a gap behind the booster because of the shape of the vehicle head restraint or seat interfering?
Second, is your child used to riding in a booster and the muscle control necessary to keep the booster in place with the body when going around curves or braking?
Third, is the shoulder belt guide threaded and adjusted according to the instructions?

Those are the 3 things I'd check on to start trouble-shooting.
