Question 2019 Nissan Leaf Booster 3 Across?

All, we are trying to move to the Nissan Leaf (2019) as a commuter car but have a need to put 3 boosters (no back) in the 2nd row. Anyone ever do this successfully? Which make and model of booster? How is the finger/hand clearance for clicking the seatbelts in?

Any ideas or suggestions welcome.
Thanks much,
Aaron

The Leaf doesn’t have a head restraint for the middle seat which will be a problem for backless boosters as they require vehicle head support to the tops of the child’s ears.

How old and how big are all of the kids?

Hmm, I see that now with the photos of the leaf backseat. Good catch. We still have 2 Diono R100 high-back boosters that the twins (5.5) could continue to sit in. Our 8 year old is already in a backless booster.

Considering this new information, we are considering a backless booster + Diono R100 highback booster in the middle + another backless booster on the other side. A booster sandwich, if you will. We will have to check that out at the dealership possibly. This could be a solution for a few years until the 8-year-old shifts to the front seat (years off, I know).

Thank you,

The Radian can have some major limitations in booster mode so it likely isn’t something that would work long-term in the middle. You might be able to do something like a Ride Safer Vest in the middle as the child sits directly on the vehicle seat. Putting the child with the shortest torso in the middle with the vest would give the most amount of time before the tops of their ears are above the seat back.
