Question HBB child can buckle into short stalk

Are there any HBBs that are easier for children to buckle into short buckle stalks? Child is having trouble reaching the stalk in a Nautilus in booster mode.

Is Evenflo Big Kid any easier? Interested in that one because it seems narrower and that would also be helpful to us.

Are backless boosters easier for kids to buckle into short stalks or equally difficult?

Thank you!

I think dedicated booster are easier to buckle in general than combination seats like the Nautilus. The best thing to do is try the seat you want in your car or least buy from a store with a good return policy in case it isn't any easier.

Short buckle stalks are awful, aren't they? But they alter the geometry to provide better lap belt fit, so we take the good with the bad.

Look for boosters that are shorter in height and taper in the back. Also boosters without arms work well, but they tend to be spendy. Some to look at include the Maxi Cosi Rodi Fix (http://amzn.to/2yU6Kpn), Peg Perego Flex 120 (https://amzn.to/2Vi5mrg), Safety 1st Incognito (https://amzn.to/2Gs0UAN), Harmony Youth Booster (https://fave.co/2TfEdIZ).

Thank you very much for ideas. We have a Graco Affix I figured would be the same, but we’ll try that and then look at your suggestions. We put all the HBBs at Target side by side and didn’t see much difference, but there are so many more sold online.

Thank you again.

I second boosters with no arms. Our 2nd row center has a short stalk and the Peg Perego Flex 120 we bought does much better there than our other boosters.
