3-Across Honda Odyssey (2 RF, 1 FF)

We're gearing up to purchase a 2019 Honda Odyssey and to put our baby in a convertible car seat (Nuna Rava). Looking for advice on how to arrange the following: RF Nuna Rava, RF Diono Rainier, FF Britax Frontier. My oldest (in the Frontier) cannot yet buckle/unbuckle himself and will be in/out the most often due to school drop-off/pick-up, hence being in an outboard seat vs middle. Our plan is to have the FF behind the driver, the baby in the Rava in the middle, and the Rainier behind the passenger. How much of a pain will it be to reach over the Frontier to buckle in the baby? We're not interested in having someone in the 3rd row for daily driving.

You might have to climb in to buckle a seat in the middle, depending on your build etc.

Have you checked that your seats are actually compatible in those seating positions? If you haven't bought yet it's always a good idea to test install, especially with a 3 across and especially with the design of that center seat, to make sure you don't need to plan on any new seats before you get it.

Honestly, it is totally a pain to have to reach over to the middle to buckle a newborn in a convertible. The magic slide seats in the Odyssey make 3rd row access SO easy, I would definitely take out the smaller center seat, slide one of the captain’s chairs to the middle position to have 2 youngest in 2nd row and then the oldest in the 3rd row behind the empty side aisle position for easy access to help with buckling and school drop off/pick up.
